G’Day,
We have just celebrated Australia day down under with a public holiday and a long weekend.
I took the opportunity to travel a few hundred kilometers down the coast to visit Tash an ex student/colleague who has set up practice in the beautiful country village of Bellingen.
Tash was called out to a home visit on Saturday.
Her patient, Vicki was suffering from Morning Sickness that had required hospitalization on a number of occasions.
Vicki was as thin as a bean pole and had been either nauseous or vomiting 24 hours a day for over 3 weeks and was wasting away.
Vicki’s pulse confirmed that she was Blood Deficient or suffering from Liver Yang Deficiency syndrome.
Light contact needling of the points Ki.3 – Liv.3 – GB.40 and SP1 was applied as root treatment and contact needling was also used on the appropriate Back Shu points.
Vicki felt a little easier after treatment.
The following day in addition to the root treatment, Tonetskyu or Rice Grain Moxibustion was applied to Bl.18 – Bl.20 – Bl.23 and the special nausea point beneath the second toe.
Two days later and I just received a text message from Tash confirming that Vicki was feeling 100% better, eating, laughing, happy and very relieved.
An awesome holiday weekend, when yet again the efficacy  and clinical flexibility of Gentle Traditional Acupuncture was confirmed.
One happy patient, one very happy practitioner and one delighted visitor.
Traditional acupuncture….it’s a beautiful thing!
Hope you are havin a good one,
Alan
